The Environmental Vision 2021 is Mitsubishi Electric’s long-term environmental project. Here, Mitsubishi Electric commits itself to a global 30% reduction in CO2 emissions in both production and product use by the year 2021

Action in the environmental protection sector in Germany
The German branch of Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V. is a sales and support organization for the marketing of the products of our parent, the Mitsubishi Electric Corporation. In April 2011 our branch received the ISO 14001 certification. In addition, ISO 14001 certification has been obtained for the plants and R&D departments in Japan and other countries whose products we supply to you, the customer.
In addition, we are also participating in the following schemes, for instance:

The German branch of Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V. is a founder member of “Stiftung Elektro Altgeräteregister” (EAR) (Foundation for the Waste Electrical Equipment Register) based in Fürth, which is in charge of enforcing the German Electrical Appliance Act. We implement Directives 95/2002 EC (Restriction of Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) and 96/2002 EC (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
